Great Portland Estates plc (GPE) announces senior leadership changes in its Leasing team

After nearly 21 years at GPE, Marc Wilder will be stepping down at the end of this financial year as Leasing Director to pursue new opportunities. A member of the Executive Committee since 2015, Marc has been a central figure in many leasing successes over the years, helping to build a high-performance team and, most notably, spearheading some 3.0 million sq ft of deals across our most significant office and retail developments. In recent years, Marc has blended his commercial and creative skills to help us refine the design of our current schemes to best meet prospective customer needs. Through his leadership of the Marketing team, he has helped shape their marketing programme for the rapidly evolving digital age. Following last year’s standout pre-let at 30 Duke Street, SW1 to CD&R and the recent record-breaking pre-let to Quantexa at The Delft, SE1, now is a natural time for him to seek a fresh challenge and we wish him well in the next chapter in his career.

Simon Rowley, recently appointed to the Executive Committee, will step into the Leasing Director role from 1 April,  assuming responsibility for HQ Leasing and Marketing whilst also maintaining oversight of our Fully Managed operations.  For much of his GPE career, Simon worked in Marc’s team, playing a pivotal role in helping to deliver leasing success, before taking on Flex leasing as part of his role as Director of Flex Workspaces in 2023. The continuity of Simon stepping up to take on the Leasing Director role is a testament to the strong foundation Marc leaves behind.

We would like to thank Marc for his many years of service and dedication and wish Simon well in his new role.
